NRDC Union · Economic Bargaining

See what our wage proposal means for your paycheck.

Our proposal raises the base pay for every job level, then rewards the things NRDC has never paid for consistently: your tenure, your recognition, and the specialized work many of us do. Put in three numbers below and see your own bottom line.

How this number is built

    The contract language: SalaryMod = Base × (1 + 0.01 × Step) × (1 + r0–10)Tenure0–10 × (1 + r11+)Tenure11+, then SalaryFinal = SalaryMod × (1 + 0.15 × Lit) + $10,000 × CSO + $8,000 × Translation. And no one lands below a 5% raise a year on their current pay.

    What we're asking for

    A raise for everyone

Base pay for every job level goes up 5% a year for the life of the contract — and no one's own salary grows slower than that, whatever their level.

    Real growth inside your band

Tenure compounds automatically, and meeting expectations earns a step promotion every year instead of a coin flip. Growth stops being a favor and becomes a rule.

Pay for the work we actually do

Litigation, critical site operations, and translation work carry real premiums — the same work, recognized the same way, for everyone who does it.

Come to the economic bargaining session.

Management counts the room. The single most useful thing you can do is show up — and bring the person at the desk next to you.
